COMMUNITY

Care that extends into the community

At Monarch, we understand mental wellbeing as something shaped not only through individual support, but through the environments people live in, the systems around them, and the quality of connection available to them.

Our community work reflects Monarch's broader approach: thoughtful, evidence-informed, and grounded in respect for individual experience. Through community engagement, we aim to support understanding, reduce barriers to care, and contribute to spaces where wellbeing can be supported earlier, more gently, and more collectively.

OUR APPROACH

Why Community Matters

Mental health does not exist in isolation.

It is influenced by relationships, social context, access to information, and the sense of safety and belonging people experience in their daily lives. Community-based work allows us to respond not only to distress, but also to prevention, awareness, and connection.

By engaging beyond the therapy room, we aim to:

  • Increase understanding of mental health in everyday settings
  • Reduce stigma through informed and compassionate dialogue
  • Support people to access care in ways that feel appropriate and respectful
  • Contribute to systems that better support wellbeing across the lifespan

Community initiatives are open to individuals whether or not they are accessing Monarch's clinical services.
